Monday Mood | tribal vibes

What has me feeling so tribal-like on this fine morning? Homesick. Growing up in South Africa is something I take so much pride in. It is a beautiful country with beautiful people, gorgeous landscape and it is filled to the brim with culture. You can't not fall in love with it and feed off the energy is runs on. So, back to homesick. I woke up this morning with a yearning to be home and fill up on that vibrant life, but alas, it cannot be.

So, I'm sucking out as much inspiration as I can from this vibe and here's what has my decor juices flowing with all of that authentic energy.

Arteriors for the win with this cast iron antelope sculpture finished in natural iron with gold leafed horns. For the chic side of the wild.

Strands of beads (wood, glass, stone or bone) are a trendy accessory to bring some global inspiration into a space. They are also known as African trade beads.

A wood portrait mask and Juju hat for some dimension and well-traveled wall decor.

A pattern on a linen throw pillow to add some subtle tribal flair. The zipper is my favorite feature.

The natural fiber of woven raffia becomes a decorative vase.

Arteriors does it again with a lamp that looks like it has traveled the globe.

Talk about a conversation starter! This wall planter from KNUS has just charged its way to the top of my wishlist.

Please join the tribe and share some of your favorite wild things!
